GCSE Success 2019

GCSE results are an important measure of success, so Ditcham Park School is delighted to report that our results in 2019 showed all headline measures and statistics improved between 2018 and 2019.

Our amazing group of Form 5 pupils achieved 45% more grade 9’s when compared to 2018. Our top performing pupil, Head Girl Ella, achieved eight grade 9’s and two Grade 8’s which placed her as one of the highest achieving students in the country. Our value added measure improved by 20%, with our girls achieving a value added result of nine grades per pupil.  Overall 97% of results at Ditcham Park School were at a grade 4 or above and nearly 40% of these results being the top 9-7 grades.

Academic results are only one measure of success. Pupils at Ditcham Park School have enjoyed wide ranging success at both regional and national level. Highlights include:

22 August 2019, Pupils and staff at Ditcham Park School are celebrating today’s very good GCSE results. Nearly 40% of all grades achieved were the new 7/8/9 grades which are equivalent to the old A*& A grades. A quarter of the year group achieved at least 7 x 7/8/9 grades. These results represent an upward trend in all areas: raw scores, pass rate and value added.
One of our students, Ella Gordon, has achieved an exceptional set of results with 8 grade 9s and a 2 grade 8s placing her as one of the highest performing students in the country.

Students are leaving Ditcham Park School with the qualifications, skills and self-confidence to succeed in the next stage of their education at their college or sixth form of choice.”
