Good morning! Many of us are noticing that birdsong is emerging to fill the space once filled with engine noise. Spring, as the birds seek mates and look to breed is the perfect time to hear them - so some positive synchronicity here. Composer, Lev Parikian, has built an amazing resource to help us learn the difference between the Blackbird’s song and the Robin’s - and many more. It’s a great way to start your day. Happy listening! Thank you to Mr Philips for sharing this website. Listen out for our Tweet @DitchamPark next (!!) https://levparikian.com/index.php/twitter-birdsong-project/ #EasterHoliday #Nature #DitchamConnect #StayHomeSaveLives

Message from Mr Richards, Head of DT. DO YOU HAVE A 3D PRINTER AT HOME? If so, you could help provide PPE for frontline workers? Enwezor Nzegwu is co-ordinating local efforts to produce facemasks for NHS workers and other frontline staff. The file you need is this one https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857-prusa-protective-face-shield-rc2 And the people to contact to arrange for collection and collation are these projects@makers-guild.com This is a slow process. I have managed to print a grand total of TWO sets today so the more of you who can get involved the better! IF ANYBODY HAS FRIENDS OR FAMILY WITH A LARGE STOCK OF PETG IN 0.5mm to 1.0mm THICK SHEETS, COULD THEY PLEASE CONTACT hello@ditchampark.com AS A MATTER OF URGENCY? As we can use this to produce a simpler and faster design using our CNC laser cutter. Thanks to colleagues at Stamford and Oakham Schools and at Techsoft we now have a design we can laser cut, although only the bands, not the actual visor, and production rate has increased significantly! Thanks everyone for your help and please share. #DitchamConnect #StayHomeSaveLives #NHSheroes #NHSThankYou

Three cheers for our Bursary team Denise, Kate and Louise who are working from home, keeping on top of the School’s finances and navigating us through all the Government advice to ensure we are operating safely. Denise celebrates a milestone today – she has been our Bursar for 2 years (and 8 years at DPS this month!). A warm ‘virtual’ welcome to Deputy Bursar Louise, who looks forward to meeting you all in person when the School site reopens. Louise was appointed in January, after 11 years working at Havant Academy in the finance office. #NotAnAprilFool #WorkingFromHome #EasterHolidays #DitchamConnect #StayHomeSaveLives

If you’ve been having a clear out and got a bag of books ready to go to the charity shops when they next open, an immediate alternative if you’re in Petersfield on your daily walk, is to take them to the phone box opposite the Good Intent pub - it’s operating as a community library. Apparently, they could do with more children’s picture books at the moment too. Thank you Mrs Witte for sharing the link below to the Winchester Science Centre which is providing daily challenges and tasks for children. They look like fun STEM investigations - day 2 today and hopefully lots more to come! https://www.winchestersciencecentre.org/science-home/science-home/?fbclid=IwAR3KmweE3raaNMNNSofHxpsM7apbNTi2KYYGSLmXswvyybPSTUzyYK1aC1g#.XoMsI5bTU0M If you have an idea to share please email hello@ditchampark.com #Easterholidays #DitchamConnect #StayHomeSaveLives
