What Roles do you Play?

What Roles do you Play? Role play is such an important part of play for pre-schoolers. It encourages so many important aspects of a child’s development. Role play activates their imagination, sparks curiosity, and aids their communication skills. Role play provides a way for children to consolidate and deepen their understanding of knowledge of the world around them and practise their skills. At Dragonflies, we love to encourage role-play with their peers, toys, and adults around them. It’s a wonderfully child-led activity and a joy to watch and be part of. In Dragonflies, one child led a group to become teachers for their hoppers. They worked out which teacher would teach which subject and used excellent communication and organisation skills. We were very very impressed!
