RUN DITCHAM 2021 – SUNDAY 12th SEPTEMBER 2021 – 5K / 10K and Children’s Fun Run “Dragonflies Dash”

Thank you for navigating your way to this page of our website and therefore demonstrating your interest in finding out more about our 2021 Run Ditcham event.  We hope that after reading the information provided here you are motivated to enter!

September 2021 – Covid permitting – sees the 3rd running of this superb event held in the South Downs National Park.  The fabulous multi terrain 5K or 10K trail runs criss-cross the spectacular countryside, starting from our beautiful School near to Petersfield, Hampshire. The 5K race is open to 12’s and over, the 10K race for 16’s and over. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The course is stunningly beautiful with superb views of the South Downs leading down to the Solent.  The topography of the course will provide you with a challenging run and, for those taking part in The Butser Hill Run later in the month, the perfect warm up!

If you ran the 2019 event please come back and aim to beat your PB!

A special event for the youngsters will be held too – the Ditcham Dragonflies Dash. Parents, Grandparents, or siblings can accompany and help the very smaller “dashers” if need be.

Registration starts from 8am and the starting gun for the 5K and 10 will fire at 10am.  For the finishers the spoils… wonderful “bling” awaits.  This event will support The Teenage Cancer Trust and you can find out about this inspiring charity by clicking the link below.  Why not raise additional money for the charity by asking for sponsorship from friends and family?

Early Bird discounts on entry fees apply until 31st July – please make sure to take advantage by entering NOW.

Run Ditcham Facebook

A free cup of tea/coffee and a tasty muffin for entrants and finishers.

Refreshments will be available throughout the event, run by our school PTA “The Friends of Ditcham Park School”.  First Aiders will be provided throughout the event, and there is a dedicated first aid room.

NB: Ditcham Park is accessed by two narrow country lanes which lead to our single carriageway North and South Drives (20mph on the drives maximum please). There is parking on site, HOWEVER, we encourage all participants to car share where possible. A small charge/donation to the charities will be requested to those parking on site. Please note that full directions will be provided to entrants approximately 10 days before the event and the event will be AA signposted.

Please note the School is in a rural area and we ask you to access and leave the site quietly and with thought for our local neighbours/residents/livestock.

Finally, we must of course acknowledge the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and ask you to note this event may be cancelled in line with central or local government and public health agency restrictions in place at the time.

Performer. Ditcham has given me the confidence to develop as a performer – singing AC/DC at our Arts Festival was a bit different from what I usually sing in the cathedral choir; I loved it.
