At Ditcham Park, both staff and pupils know each other individually. This is achieved by having small classes, and a total of 362 pupils aged 4 to 16 years in the junior and senior sections of the school. In all aspects of school life there is care, concern and close support for every child, so that they gain confidence, explore a breadth of experience and achieve their potential. Excellent pastoral care is one of the school's strengths.
Ditcham Park also has a strong sense of community, which is helped by the close contact between home and school. A friendly, "family" feel pervades the school.
Pupils and staff expect, and aim towards, achieving high academic results, and in recent years, approximately half of all GCSE grades have been at A*/A and approx 95% of Ditcham's pupils have gained 5+, A*-C grades. In addition, pupils are expected to take part in a full and varied range of extra curricular activities in art, music, drama, sport, ICT and community service. These activities are mainly timetabled during the school day.
Ditcham Park has a justifiable reputation for its friendly, caring, family atmosphere, and for its beautiful location and views over the South Downs. These are aspects of the school that can only be fully appreciated during a visit. I would encourage you to come and look around on a personal, guided tour.
