The children in Upper Juniors spend a week at a residential centre in Dorset where they extend their academic work with various field studies, living history experiences and activity programmes. The highlights of the week include problem solving tasks, a Victorian day, fossil hunting, a design technology evening and wading about in a river, collecting data to measure rates of flow and draw cross sections.
A week in the company of their peers also enables the children to develop their interpersonal social skills and independence.
