Overnight Camp
On a warm Friday in July the children in Transition (Year 3) did not go home. Instead they stayed on for an evening of activities, including parachute games, toasting marshmallows over a camp fire, singing and dancing. They had hotdogs for supper followed by ice creams (yum, yum!) and Mrs Jones even brought home-made cookies. Putting the tents up proved rather challenging but they got there in the end. A good’s night sleep was had by all and everyone woke up nice and early (some at 4am!). After breakfast the children created natural sculptures in the school grounds, using only objects found lying around, in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. These were simply stunning and much admired by parents and staff alike.Then it was off home to recover.
