Butser Ancient Farm
As part of our topic on the Celts we went to Butser Ancient Farm to experience how the Celts lived. We investigated the differences between our houses and Celtic roundhouses before trying our hand at making a wattle wall. We enjoyed being archaeologists, digging up artefacts and trying to guess what they were used for. The best part of the day, however, was definitely getting our hands dirty crushing chalk to make clunch. We all came home with big smiles and homemade Celtic jewellery.
