Open Morning Saturday 2nd October 10am-1pm In July, as part of our Design and Technology project, the Middle Juniors made and designed a biscuit for a special occasion. We ‘showcased’ our biscuits on Junior Art’s Day and set out our tables in the Gym. We had decorated our tables and made costumes that were related to the theme of our biscuits. We had ‘FA Cup’ biscuits, Valentine’s Day, British Open Golf biscuits and ones to celebrate the beginning of the summer, to name a few! All of the parents were invited in to sample the delights that the children had made. It was decided that they were all delicious and the gym looked so colourful; with bunting, table decorations and lots of beautiful flowers…in fact much like a village fete! The children provided a short video clip of themselves making their biscuits at home, which we had running in the background all morning. It is very evident that we have a few Nigellas and Jamies in the making! A local cake designer was invited in to give the children a workshop on how to decorate biscuits; they all got thoroughly messy and sticky but had a wonderful time! The whole of the Ditcham Art’s Day was a great success.
The designs were all evaluated (and eaten!!) and the day was enjoyed by children and staff alike! Contact Information: Telephone 01730-825659 Postal Address Ditcham Park School, Ditcham Park, Nr Petersfield, Hants, GU31 5RN, England |
