Lower Juniors (Year 4) @ Ditcham Park School
There are two Lower Junior (Year 4) classes sited in adjacent rooms. The children are taught in mixed ability groups for all subjects, with the exception of maths and spelling. Our science topics are: Habitats, Moving and Growing, Sound, Keeping Warm, Solids and Liquids, and Electricity.
Other topics include: Chembakolli, Ancient Greece, Invaders and Settlers and Villages.
We visit the Sustainability Centre, Search Museum and Buriton village to enhance the learning within the classroom. As well as trips out each term, we also invite people in to work with the children, such as Dermot, our rather scary Anglo-Saxon warrior!
We always finish the year with a long hike and picnic, irrespective of our unpredictable British weather!
