Ditcham Park School - RE

Religious Education should foster in pupils a reflective approach to life and enable and enrich this process through the study of living faiths, acknowledging the fact that the religious traditions in Great Britain are in the main Christian and taking account of the teachings and practices of the other principle religions represented in the country.

Through one lesson a week (KS3) Religious Education at Ditcham Park seeks to develop the following:-

Respect for oneself, other people and the world about us.

A critical open-mindedness towards ideas and beliefs and ways of seeing life.

Tolerance towards values, responses and ways of life, different from one's own.

A questioning interest in other people's beliefs and traditions.
