British Schools Cycling Association – National Hill Climb Championship – Saturday June 15th 2019
Ditcham Park School is proud to be hosting the BSCA National Hill Climb Championship again this year. This exciting event, organised by Solent Pirates Youth Cycling Club, Team Axiom and the school is open to all school children born between 1st September 2011 and 31st August 2003. There is no requirement for the school to be a member of the BSCA.
Cyclists must enter in advance using online entry form – Early Bird fee of £10 until 19th May, £12.00 thereafter. Closing date for entry – 8th June 2019.

Cyclists race in 6 categories – Under 7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and Over 15. Please click here to check your child’s category.
The riders under 11 ride the short course; the initial 50m has a small kick but from then on it is a gentle climb to the top, achievable by all. Approximate distance = 1.2 miles. The over 11 course is more challenging – steeper and longer! Approximate distance = 2.3 miles.
Registration will be held in the School’s Gym on the first floor between 7.45 to 9.45am. All registrations must be completed by 9.45am, prior to the first race start at 10.00am.
Where to find us: It’s important that all attendees and competitors use the south drive entrance via Chalton village (PO8 0BG) to allow for the course to be reviewed and prepared for the morning racing. The school is sign posted from Chalton village. (School post code – GU31 5RN) From the south/north (A3) take the exit towards Butser Hill/Hambledon/East Meon, Turn right onto Chalton Lane, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on Chalton Lane. Entrance via South Drive Only. Please do not attempt to use the North Drive.
Refreshments will be available throughout the event, run by Solent Pirates and Ditcham Park School. A free BBQ will be provided for competitors. First Aiders will be available throughout the event, and there is a dedicated first aid room.
