SNOW AND FUN IN AUSTRIA

Sixty-five pupils at Ditcham Park School, accompanied by eight members of staff, have just returned from a week’s stay at the beautiful resort of Saalbach Hiterglemm in the Austrian Alps where they enjoyed some fantastic snow and the chance to ski and snowboard. 

For many pupils it was their first time on the slopes and the first time they had seen so much snow with over a metre falling in just one day!  However, they quickly found their ski legs and had a great time.  Supported and encouraged by their friends, staff and some excellent instructors, by the end of the week they were confidently traversing down the blue and even red runs whilst the more experienced took on the challenge of the blacks! 

The annual trip is eagerly anticipated and extremely popular with pupils – so much so that this year some former pupils returned to join in the fun!  In recent years the school has visited a number of different resorts in Austria, Italy and France
