There are three ways in which parents could receive a discount to school fees at Ditcham Park School. These are either through a Bursary (please see appropriate web page) or by means of an Academic Scholarship or Music Exhibition.
The Head Teacher can award one or two academic scholarships for entry into Year 4 worth up to 30% discount on school fees for the remainder of their time in the Junior School. During the spring term of Year 3, all high performing pupils are considered for the scholarship. The parents of candidate pupils from within Ditcham Park School to be considered for the scholarship will be informed in writing. Candidates are selected through use of assessment data, past and current classwork, performance in school tests and CAT4 results.
External candidates who have performed exceptionally well in our standard entrance procedures will be invited by the Head of Juniors to sit a scholarship examination if their entrance assessment is over 3 months old. Should they have been assessed for entrance into the Junior School within the previous 3 months, this will be used as the form of assessment.
Candidates will be informed, in writing, if they have been awarded the Junior Scholarship. If there is not a suitable candidate the Junior Scholarship will not be awarded.
Junior Music Exhibition
The Head Teacher can also award a Junior Music Exhibition for entry into Year 4. Pupils can apply to be considered for this Exhibition and full details are available from the school office.
The incentive or reward for being awarded a Junior Music Exhibition is two free music lessons a week or 20 lessons termly.
Junior Academic Scholarships and the Junior Music Exhibition Award are open to both current and new pupils at Ditcham Park School and only apply to the three final school years in Juniors, from Year 4 to 6 inclusive. Please contact the school office for further details.

Based on the results of the January Entrance Examination, very high performing pupils are invited to return to school to sit the competitive scholarship examination in February.
